LEARN TO SAIL 3
ABOUT THE COURSE
The Level Three course suits returning participant's that have completed Learn to Sail Level One and Learn to Sail Level Two. This course focuses on introducing beginner racing skills in a relaxed environment.
Don't forget, like any sport, some sailors will develop competitive streaks whereas others may not. Appreciating this difference in the individual is a unique skill of ours at the RCSF and we continue to dedicate a large focus on enjoyment and non-conventional activities and drills in this stage of learning. Skill acquisition through enjoyment will help provide these sailors an opportunity to take part in club racing confidently in the future should they desire.
Boat use is still included in the course fee however sailors at this level should provide their own sailing clothing including helmet and lifejacket.
In certain circumstances, the RCSF may approach and award scholarship(s) to one or more sailor(s) in this course. This will be on a case-by-case basis and include boat use and course fees for one season.

INTERMEDIATE COURSES
Development Program - O'PEN SKIFF
ABOUT THE COURSES
The O'pen Skiff Development Program is suitable for those who have successfully completed stages one, two and three in the RCSF LTS Program, and want to further their experience and enjoyment on the water. This is also the right choice for returning Development Skiff sailors still honing their racing skills and developing the confidence and competence required to improve from a club racing level to a regatta race level.
Although this course is mostly tailored to participating in racing, we recognise not all new sailors develop a passion for racing at the same rate (which is totally fine!). The Development O'pen Skiff Program will group participants further depending on their interests, even if adventure sailing or dolphin chasing is higher on their priorities than race training!
Participants in this program will be given guidance to attend pre-selected away from home regattas throughout the season and it's our hope that they are supported to attend these events.
Sailors entering this course should provide their own boat and equipment although we will do our best to make available charters to those who are still in the market for their first O'pen Skiff. Please do remember our charter policy for use outside course sessions, listed under our Ts&Cs, which stipulates a finite number of charter uses in fairness to new sailors coming through.
In certain circumstances, the RCSF may approach and award scholarship(s) to one or more sailor(s) in this course. This will be on a case-by-case basis and include boat use and course fees for one season.
PREREQUISITES
Entrants typically enter the Development Program - O'pen Skiff following the RCSF Learn to Sail Three program.
Sailors at this stage must also be members of the Manly Sailing Club as they start to show keen interest in club activities with their friends. There is lot's on so don't miss out!
COST
Registration fee - $295

DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM - RS FEVA
ABOUT THE COURSE
This is an intermediate sailing program targeted at participants who are keen to develop their sailing and in particular, improve their racing repertoire. Participants in this program will be given guidance to attend pre-selected away from home regattas throughout the sailing calendar and it is expected that, given we are developing racing skills in this course, they are supported to attend such events.
Although some sailors will develop competitive streaks, there will still be a focus on enjoyment and non-conventional activities and drills, with a key objective being to provide these sailors with the confidence to take part in club racing independently.
