BEGINNER COURSES
LEarn to Sail - level one & Two
ABOUT THE COURSE
This course is for the sailor that is keen enough to want to sail when the water temperature is dropping! For sailors that want to continue their sailing into the beginning of winter, this course will be all about keeping them on the water. They will sail a variety of boats with the emphasis on having fun. Participation in this will not necessarily move them to the next level for next season, but it will keep their love of sailing alive.
This time of the year the weather can be unreliable, cold and windy, so they need to be prepared for that.
A boat, lifejacket, helmet, team vest, and spray jacket are all provided for participants in this course. We do ask sailors to bring with them a wetsuit, beanie or hat, poly props (colder months especially), booties (neoprene boat shoes/old trainers that can get wet), sun cream, togs and to be prepared for adventure!

Entrants must have completed an RCSF course of Level One or Two.
COST (INCLUDES BOAT CHARTER)
Registration fee - $280

DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM - ILCA (LASER)
ABOUT THE COURSE
This is an intermediate sailing program targeted at participants who are keen to develop their sailing and in particular, improve their racing repertoire. It's the right course for sailors wanting to develop the confidence and competence required to improve from an intermediate club level to a regatta race level.
Participants in this program will be given guidance to attend pre-selected away from home regattas throughout the sailing calendar and it is expected that, given we are developing racing skills in this course, they are supported to attend such events.
The expectation is that in between coaching sessions, sailors will train on the water without a coach. Creating this culture of sailors getting on the water together outside of scheduled coaching sessions requires more support from parents, and we believe that this is fundamental in keeping sailors in the sport.
Sailors entering this course should provide their own boat and equipment.
PREREQUISITES
Entrants typically enter this program following the RCSF Development O'pen Skiff.
Sailors must also be members of the Manly Sailing Club AND sailors are expected to attend Club Racing.
